Weather Situation
A slow moving high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea will extend a strong ridge south of Victoria until at least Friday, while a low pressure trough lingers over the west Tasman Sea. Another low pressure trough will develop over western Victoria during Friday before moving eastwards across the State during Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 20 March Cloudy. Patchy morning fog about the ranges. Medium (40%) chance of drizzle in the west, slight (20%) chance elsewhere - clearing during the afternoon. Areas of smoke haze in the east. The chance of a thunderstorm in the east this afternoon. Winds south to southeasterly and light increasing to 15 to 20 km/h in the late afternoon. Daytime maximum temperatures in the mid to high 20s.
