A low pressure system and associated cold front will cross the State this evening, clearing far eastern districts tonight. Another front will pass over Bass Strait Sunday night and early Monday, just clipping southern Victoria. A weak ridge of high pressure will then cross the State on Tuesday, followed by a weak low pressure system on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 23 September Partly cloudy. Slight (20%) chance of a shower near the Yarra Valley, near zero chance elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm with little or no rainfall. Winds west to northwesterly 30 to 45 km/h.

Partly cloudy. Medium (60%) chance of showers. The chance of a thunderstorm in the east in the late morning and afternoon. Winds northwesterly 25 to 40 km/h increasing to 35 to 50 km/h in the morning then turning westerly 25 to 35 km/h in the late evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 7 and 11 with daytime temperatures reaching between 13 and 18.
